San Gabriel Valley / San Gabriel foothills
Altadena plumbing & fire-recovery support
Altadena is an unincorporated foothill community with early-20th-century residential heritage as well as later homes. Following the Eaton Fire, an intact older house, a damaged property and a rebuilding site have very different plumbing needs. We begin by separating ordinary age-related maintenance from fire-related concerns, and by identifying the water provider and permit authority for the specific address.
Established Altadena homes: inspection before replacement
Older supply branches, inaccessible shutoffs and recurring drain problems should be evaluated individually. A remodeled bathroom may still connect to earlier piping; a water heater fault may instead be a blocked intake or fixture-flow problem. We inspect what is accessible and explain where further testing is needed. A sewer camera can inform cleaning or repair decisions without assuming every wooded property has root intrusion.
Fire recovery is an address-specific safety process
For a fire-affected home, utility guidance and current water-use restrictions take priority. Do not assume clear-looking water is safe or that flushing alone resolves heat-damaged plumbing. We can assess accessible damage, plan repiping or heater replacement and coordinate the plumbing scope with the rebuilding team. Gas restoration and safety clearance require the utility and qualified professionals; homeowners should not relight damaged equipment. Call to discuss fire-recovery scheduling and the condition of your property.

via Google“I needed a service for a Rinnai tankless water heater for a tenant in Eagle Rock. I called Leon plumbing and was surprised that they could have a tech out in about an hour. The tech did a complete service for $275, which seemed somewhat reasonable, and a needed valve replacement for another $275, which (though steep) was at least done quickly. I would recommend them for speed, good communications, and quality of the work.”
